Fire extinguishers for caravans are essential as a break out of fire can spread quickly and have devastating consequences. Though few there have been fatalities in recent times so it is essential that before you hit the road, adequate fire protection measures are taken. The unique combination of a kitchen and car motor being in close proximity means that care should be taken in the caravan.

• Never use the stove when the caravan is moving and never leave a stove unattended.
• Gas cylinders should never be kept within the caravan and ensure that fuel stores and rubbish are well clear of the caravan as they are a serious fire hazard.
• Ensure that your caravan is well ventilated and equipped with both smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Every caravan should have at least one fire extinguisher, dry powder, located near the door, for ease of access and ready escape.
